Breast Cancer Treatment May Impact Memory and Concentration

The study involved 62 survivors of breast cancer who had undergone radiation and chemotherapy and 67 who only had radiation. Those who had both types of treatment had thinking and cognitive difficulties beyond 3 years of finishing treatment. The women who only had radiation experienced similar problems as those who had both treatments done.

Hormonal therapy wasn’t found to cause cognitive problems. All of which leads researchers to suggest that treatments address these potential complications.
