December 22, 2010 - Established by 6 female veterans and the State Women Veterans Coordinators, the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) works to give hope and help to veterans on many different levels. The DVNF operates within veterans' communities to give whatever assistance possible. Along within holding fund raisers throughout the year, the DVNF operates solely on public donations, which somewhat limits of what they are capable of.
One of the DVNFs' main drives is assisting high-demand veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffering from service-related disabilities. The DVNF works to make certain these veterans are receiving all the services to which their sacrifice entitles them. The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) medical centers and hospitals have been under great strain to continue meeting the demands injured soldiers place on the system. The DVNF attempts to help these veterans as much as possible in making their way through the huge bureaucratic maze that is the VA benefits and counseling system.
Due to growth and necessity, the DVNF is even offering jobs to qualified veterans. Available positions will focus on carrying out the DVNF's mission statement in helping sick and injured soldiers attempting to re-integrate a stateside existence.
Soldiers can return home with a number of conditions, injuries, and aggravated preexisting conditions. If you believe you have a service-connected physical or psychological injury you may be entitled to Veterans’ Disability Compensation.
At LaVan and Neidenberg, we are determined to secure veterans their rightful disability compensation and disability rating. We wrote this book for you! In it you will find valuable tips on how to navigate the claims process and avoid common pitfalls. Request your FREE copy today!
