Although you may have long-term disability coverage, you might be surprised to know that it doesn't necessarily mean an automatic approval for your claim. You may need the help of a Miami Gardens long-term disability attorney if you are unable to work due to a severe medical condition.
The
Doctor's Lounge reports that
according to new research, high-intensity sports such as lacrosse or swimming in college increase the risk of gastrointestinal disorders.
These findings come from the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where researchers found that as many as 60% of athletes participating in these high-intensity sports had at least 1 gastrointestinal symptom.
Gastrointestinal symptoms include:
- pain;
- constipation;
- abdominal bloating; and
- diarrhea.
Just 35% of non-athletes experienced the same types of symptoms.
Researchers suspect that the aerobic movements and other motions of these sports are what lead to gastrointestinal problems. However, these are preliminary studies, subject to a more rigorous peer review.
If you suffer from debilitating symptoms as a result of a gastrointestinal disorder and are concerned about how it is impacting your ability to work, you should immediately consult with a
