Iraq War Veteran: "We Lost More Soldiers to Suicide Than to al Queda."

Paul Rieckhoff, founder and executive director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), appeared on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show on Feb. 12, 2009 (watch this broadcast here), to discuss the IAVA's efforts to improve the quality and timeliness of the care our troops, veterans, and military families receive. The IAVA "stormed the Hill" and lobbied for proper implementation of the new GI Bill, the need for mandatory mental counseling, and advance funding to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) so that they are not forced to ration care.

Also on the agenda, is the shocking rise in Army suicides.
