Labels on Cigarettes Will Contain Graphic Images

According to a report from Health News, labels on cigarettes will contain graphic images starting in September, 2012. Severe health conditions may qualify for long-term disability benefits, if an individual is no longer able to work. A Plantation long-term disability attorney can determine eligibility.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is set to release 9 new health warnings on cigarette packages and tobacco advertisements that will include graphic pictures.
Pictures will include not only efforts to prevent children from smoking but to also raise awareness to current smokers the serious health complications that smoking can cause.

By implementing these new advertising tactics, the hope is to prevent individuals from starting up the unhealthy habit and inspire smokers to quit.

Not only can smoking increase the risk of heart disease and stroke but it can increase the risk of cancer. Smoking is found to be linked to 85% of lung cancers but it can also be a risk factor for other types of cancer.

If you need help in appealing a long-term disability claim that has been denied or you would like assistance in filing your initial application, then you should seek legal counsel. A Plantation long-term disability attorney can help you with all aspects of your disability case.

Long-term disability benefits may be available to those who have purchased a disability plan from a private insurer or have coverage through an employer. Unfortunately, the insurers don't make it easy for the disabled to get access to the benefits they deserve. When a severe medical condition makes it impossible for you to work and you've been denied your long-term disability benefits, an attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A. can help you cut through the red tape and fight for your benefits, no matter where you live in the U.S!
