According to a new study as reported by the Doctor's Lounge, a longer life span is attributed to the intensity of exercise rather than how long you do it for. If you have been diagnosed with a severe medical condition that prevents you from working while you are undergoing treatment and recovery, then you could qualify to receive long-term disability benefits.
Most doctors recommend that individuals spend 30 minutes each day doing moderate exercises; however, a study done in Denmark revealed that more vigorous physical activity was better.
In their research, they found that men who participated in intense cycling lived 5.3 years longer and women 3.9 years longer. This is in comparison to men and women who exercise at less intense levels.
Although the findings seem to indicate that the more intense the exercise the better, these studies have not undergone the same type of scrutiny as those which are published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
You should consult with a Miami long-term disability lawyer if you would like help in determining whether or not you qualify for disability benefits. If you need help with a claim that has been denied, a lawyer can also help you with the appeals process.
Long-term disability benefits may be available to those who have purchased a disability plan from a private insurer or have coverage through an employer. Unfortunately, the insurers don't make it easy for the disabled to get access to the benefits they deserve.
