In an effort to improve services to
disabled veterans and service members, the
Miami VA Medical Center is undergoing some major renovations and was planning to shutdown the facility in order to complete it; however,
veterans can now still be serviced by the facility due to Mobile Surgical Units.
These huge
tractor-trailers are self-contained surgical theaters that meet U.S. healthcare standards and are able to control infection and provide an environment that is contaminent-free. The trailers were produced by Mobile Medical International Corporation, which also
provides mobile medical facilities for other purposes like medical imaging, laboratory/pharmacy, and dialysis.
Miami VA Medical Center is using 5 of these trailers as their renovations continue.
Once the project is complete the facility will have kept up with its busy surgical operations and have state of the art surgical rooms to help those in need.
Obtaining proper medical care is important for veterans with disabling conditions. Many combat injuries may require future surgery to improve patient recovery and reduce the impact that serious injury can have on a veterans’ life.
Disabled veterans who need help with medical care and costs may find relief with veterans’ disability benefits – but only if you apply!
If you are a disabled veteran who has been denied disability compensation or have not yet applied for benefits from the VA, a South Florida disability attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg is ready to help. To learn if you are entitled to certain programs and benefits
