The 2nd Annual National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic starts this Sunday in San Diego, California. The clinic will take place for five days and provides disabled veterans the opportunity to participate in adventure sports.
At last year's inaugural event, nearly 60 newly injured veterans participated in the program. This year, events such as sailing, surfing, kayaking, cycling, track and field will be offered. The Clinic, sponsored by the VA, is designed to provide veterans with an opportunity to develop sports skills and enliven their rehabilitation.
While it may be too late to sign up for this year's sports clinics, veterans can contact Tristan Heaton at the VA at (858)642-6426 regarding any future events.
Soldiers can return from action with a number of conditions, injuries, and aggravated preexisting conditions. If you believe you have a service-connected physical or psychological injury you may be entitled to Veterans’ Compensation. At LaVan and Neidenberg, we are determined to secure veterans their rightful disability compensation and disability rating. We wrote this book for you!
