February 18, 2011 - In one of the toughest economies in a long time, unemployment is reaching critical levels. Among veterans those levels are even higher. For most job seekers, any help finding employment would be openly welcomed. A newly launched website, Employerpartnership.org, helps job seekers find work and is catered exclusively toward veterans and their spouses.
The Army Reserve is sponsoring the new employment website, which serves to connect those looking for work and potential employers. Employers are benefited by using the website as well. Should they hire someone off this website, employers can make a number of very safe assumptions about the employee:
The website went live on Veterans Day and has since registered 7,500 users. Those users are able to connect with more than 1,300 employers looking to hire; 95 of which are Fortune 500 companies.
The site features more than a job board, however. There is an advice section for veterans starting their own business, as well as a resume building function, which shows job seekers how to translate military parlance into civilian speak so human resource personnel understand job specialties. The site is a one-stop-shop for employment. From resume to interview it helps veterans and their spouses through the steps of finding their next job.
Soldiers can return home with a number of conditions, injuries, and aggravated preexisting conditions. If you believe you have a service-connected physical or psychological injury you may be entitled to Veterans’ Disability Compensation.
At LaVan and Neidenberg, we are determined to secure veterans their rightful disability compensation and disability rating. We wrote this book for you! In it you will find valuable tips on how to navigate the claims process and avoid common pitfalls. Request your FREE copy today!
