New EVEAH Program Brings Healthcare to Qualifying Veterans

According to an article in Market Watch, a program developed by The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) known as the Enhance the Veteran Experience and Access to Healthcare (EVEAH) program, will "ensure proactive outreach" to every veteran that qualifies for VA healthcare services but has not yet enrolled. This outreach will include veterans with disabilities as well as those veterans without any health issues.

The VA is currently covering the globe in an attempt to bring healthcare to every veteran who has earned it through their military service. This initiative "focuses on access and quality care within the VA healthcare system." The VA's main goal is to identify and locate qualifying veterans who: 

• are not aware of their healthcare benefits;
• do not understand how the enrollment process operates; or
• cannot access VA-inpatient care due to location or mobility restrictions.

In order to complete this mission, the VA has contracted with a company in Melbourne, Florida to provide the necessary software and support to undertake the global search initiative. The program is not just about locating the veterans, however. It is about ensuring the healthcare they deserve is provided, regardless of where those veterans happen to be located. EVEAH will find the veterans and bring the healthcare to them, one way or another.
