New Veterans Career Center Connects Veterans With Employment

In the current atmosphere of skyrocketing unemployment numbers for veterans, especially young veterans, any help finding employment is going to be appreciated.

Military.com is a "business unit" of Monster.com, which is an online employment site. Military.com recently went live with a newer and better Veterans Career Center. The site has a single goal: connect veterans with available jobs.

Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are having an increasingly difficult time finding work in the private sector. The Military Skills Translator (MST) is an online tool that translates military occupational specialties' job duties into a language civilian employers can understand and appreciate. The newly enhanced Veterans Career Center increases the MST's basic application on multiple levels.

The site offers more than just the MST, however. It also provides services ranging from writing resumes to networking to specific searching sections for jobs requiring security clearances. The site teaches struggling veterans how to sell their military skills to employers so as to find the most meaningful career possible.

The Military.com and Monster.com team has been helping veterans find work for more than 10 years. That is precisely why they must continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their site.
