North Carolina Agency Recruits Disabled Employees

If you receive either Social Security disability or Supplemental Security Income, you might be hesitant to work because you could lose your disability benefits. If you want to work and keep your disability benefits for as long as possible, the Ticket to Work program may be your solution.

According to digtriad.com, an agency, Employment Options, in the Triad area of North Carolina recently announced that they are seeking an increase in disabled workers. The agency recruited about 200 people with disabilities to work in December alone, and now need about 160 more employees.

In order to obtain a job from the company, you must be receiving either SSI or disability. Many of the positions would allow you to work from home. Employment Options works with the Ticket to Work program to employ those whose disabilities make it difficult for them to find employment suited to their needs and skills.

This is not the only work assistance program available to disabled individuals. Many counties have at least one such agency, or a community center that also offers job openings for the disabled. To learn about such centers in your area, or to find out how the Ticket to Work program operates, contact a lawyer well-versed in Social Security disability.

If you or your loved one are suffering from a severe physical or mental disability, you should contact a Social Security Disability lawyer immediately to learn about your rights and determine eligibility. The process of securing Social Security Disability Insurance benefits and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) can be difficult and overwhelming. Don't go it alone! The disability lawyers at LaVan & Neidenberg, located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL understand the inner workings of the Social Security Administration and will help you navigate the system.
