Phone App Could Lead to Diagnosis and Treatment Plan of a Stroke

A stroke can lead to permanent disability. If you have become disabled because of a stroke or any other severe medical condition, you could be entitled to receive Social Security disability benefits.

CNN Health reports that a phone app could help lead to a diagnosis and treatment plan of a stroke. This medical application, ResolutionMD Mobile, available for Android, iPhone and iPad users, could potentially save a life.

The earlier care and treatment is given for a stroke, the better the outcome. Now specialists will be able to choose a treatment plan for a stroke based on a brain image scan that comes from your phone.

A study out of the University of Calgary finds that it is just as effective as having an individual go through a full diagnostic workup.

The app can easily be downloaded from the app store and so far has been tested by the Mayo Clinic in certain areas of Arizona. However it has not yet been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While a promising technological advancement, this app is certainly no substitute for emergency medical treatment from a qualifed source.

If you would like to understand the application process for disability benefits, you should consult with a Ft. Lauderdale Social Security disability attorney as soon as possible.
