February 17, 2011 - February 1st marked the first day veterans could register for the 2011 Summer Sports Clinic. Like the Winter Sports Clinic, the Summer Clinic is intended to help disabled veterans build their confidence through participation in adaptive sports competition.
The Summer Clinic will teach recently disabled veterans such adaptive sports as:
The summer games distinguish themselves by allowing veterans' caregivers to participate. Caregivers can include veterans' spouses, friends, and even their physical therapists. All are welcome to come to the games with the veterans and be introduced to new equipment and coaching techniques that the veteran can use as part of their care.
The Summer Sports Clinic welcomes all veterans who became disabled within the previous 6 years.

This years' games will be held between Sep18, 2011 - Sep 23, 2011 in San Diego, California, and will be hosted by the San Diego Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system. The games will take place around the greater San Diego area.
