Scientists Find a Way to Stop Early Stages of Pancreatic Cancer

The focus has been to start treatment as early as possible, which can avoid the cancer developing into potentially fatal later stages. The survival rate falls to less than 6% when patients are in late-stage pancreatic cancer.

Since Gefitinib is already approved by the FDA, it can surpass a Phase I clinical trial and go right to a Phase 2 clinical trial. All of this shows great promise in the medical world's hopes to treat pancreatic cancer.
