SSA Contracts May Mean Less Wait For Disability Benefits

SSA officials claim that most of the medical records that they receive are on paper, and that receiving them electronically should cut down on the time it takes to make a decision. Currently, HealthBridge sends about 2.4 million records every month, electronically transferring results from labs, radiology appointments, and other types of medical visits.

It is unknown how long it will take to set up a system for sending medical documents to the SSA. Therefore, no one knows how much longer you will have to wait for your results. However, this recent contract means that you may not have to wait as long as those in the past did.
