While homelessness is one of the most critical problems many modern U.S. veterans are facing on a daily basis, the Veteran’s Housing Complex (VHC), located in Tampa Bay, will give homeless U.S. veterans places to live, according to an article posted on 13NEWS.
The VHC will be helping male and female homeless veterans with this program as it plans to house them in hotel rooms that have been either closed or emptied. Veterans will be expected to pay between $15 and $25 every night of their stay, which will also help out hotel management and ownership by allowing them to collect a small profit.
In return for their payment, veterans will receive:
Many veterans are praising the program as being “beyond what you expect you’re going to end up with.” The VHC will not allow veterans to slip through the cracks. Instead, they’re going to be given a chance at a new life.
That being the mission, the VHC has plans on expanding their program throughout Tampa Bay area and hopes that in the near future it will reach other places around the country to help homeless veterans who do not have a place to live.
