Tea and Coffee Drinkers May Have Lower Risk of Brain Tumor

A brain tumor can significantly alter an individual's life, even leading to permanent disability. Social Security disability benefits may be available for anyone suffering a severe mental or physical condition that prevents them from being able to earn a living through gainful employment.

A new study indicates that tea and coffee drinkers may have a lower risk of developing a common type of malignant brain tumor found in afflicted adults
. In this study it was discovered that consuming higher amounts of tea and coffee lowered the risk of gliomas.

Gliomas are a group of tumors in the brain that account for as much as 80% of malignant brain cancers.
However, researchers are quick to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean that tea and coffee are the main factors.

The focus will now turn to how tumors may be caused, using the findings of this study to determine how gliomas can be prevented. Researchers also caution that this is not cause for individuals to begin to increase their intake of tea or coffee.

Brain cancer can be a debilitating condition that makes it impossible for an individual to work. Social Security disability benefits can help to offset lost income. Contact a Social Security disability attorney to determine if your medical condition qualifies you for these benefits.
