Top 10 and Bottom 10 U.S. States Analyzed Brain Health

In a report from the Huffington Post, the top 10 and bottom 10 states have been identified when it comes to brain health. If you were diagnosed with a medical condition that will keep you out of work for several months, then you could be entitled to receive long-term disability benefits. These benefits can help to offset the income you may be without during your time of disability.

U.S.
States with Good and Poor Brain Health

This has become an increasing concern as medical experts try to find ways to combat deterioration of the brain as Americans age.

The top 10 states for brain health include:

  • Maryland;
  • District of Columbia;
  • Washington;
  • Colorado;
  • Vermont;
  • New Hampshire;
  • Oregon;
  • Utah;
  • Maine; and
  • New Jersey.

The bottom 10 states for brain health include:

  • North Dakota;
  • Kentucky;
  • Indiana;
  • Tennessee;
  • West Virginia;
  • Alabama;
  • Oklahoma;
  • Arkansas;
  • Louisiana; and
  • Missisippi.

Determining where the states landed was dependent upon factors such as social well-being, mental and physical health, diet, and nutrition.

If you would like help in applying for disability benefits or learning how you can improve your chance at having your application approved, then you should speak immediately with a Deerfield Beach long-term disability lawyer.

Long-term disability benefits may be available to those who have purchased a disability plan from a private insurer or have coverage through an employer. Unfortunately, the insurers don't make it easy for the disabled to get access to the benefits they deserve.

When a severe medical condition makes it impossible for you to work and you've been denied your long-term disability benefits, an attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A. can help you cut through the red tape and fight for your benefits, no matter where you live in the U.S!
