The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced on Wednesday, January 4 that
20 more vehicles have been added to their Mobile Vet Centers (MVC) fleet to help provide accessible services to
disabled veterans in rural communities.
The new MVCs were manufactured by Farber Specialty Vehicles and expand the current fleet of 50 vehicles. Each MVC is
equipped with space for confidential counseling sessions and equipment for communication to remote specialists.
These new MVCs will provide
mobile counseling services for veterans and their families in the following cities:
- Birmingham, Ala.;
- San Diego, Calif.;
- Atlanta, Ga.;
- Western Oahu, Hawaii;
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa;
- Evanston, Ill.;
- Indianapolis, Ind.;
- Baltimore, Md.;
- Pontiac, Mich.;
- Kansas City, Mo.;
- Jackson, Miss.;
- Greensboro, N.C.;
- Lakewood, N.J.;
- Reno, Nev.;
- Stark County, Ohio;
- Lawton, Okla.;
- Ponce, Puerto Rico;
- Nashville, Tenn.;
- Washington County, Utah; and
- Green Bay, Wis.
The VA continues to expand their
services to disabled veterans, but not all veterans are able to take advantages of these services due to their location or disability. These mobile initiatives may help you or a loved one who is in need of disability services, and
a veteran’s disability attorney can also help you seek financial benefits through the VA.
If you are a disabled veteran who has been denied disability compensation or have not yet applied for benefits from the VA, a South Florida disability attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg is ready to help. To learn if you are entitled to certain programs and benefits
