WHO Announces that Cell Phones Could Potentially Cause Brain Cancer

After the diagnosis of a severe medical condition, you may be facing a long road of treatment and recovery. During this time you may be eligible to receive long-term disability benefits.

According to a report from Health Day, the World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that cell phones could potentially cause brain cancer. This comes after reviewing a number of studies that looked into the link between cell phones and cancer.

WHO has classified cell phones to be potentially as dangerous to people as gasoline engine exhaust and pesticide DDT. They also believe that glioma, a type of brain cancer, has an increased risk when cell phones are used by holding them close to the head and that children are especially vulnerable.

However, other experts, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not given much weight to any scientific evidence that brain cancer is caused by the use of cell phones. The views on this have been conflicting for a number of years.

If you have questions concerning your eligibility for long-term disability benefits or if your claim has been denied, then you should seek legal counsel. A Plantation long-term disability attorney will evaluate your case to determine if you qualify and will assist you with appealing a claim that has been denied.

Long-term disability benefits may be available to those who have purchased a disability plan from a private insurer or have coverage through an employer. Unfortunately, the insurers don't make it easy for the disabled to get access to the benefits they deserve. When a severe medical condition makes it impossible for you to work and you've been denied your long-term disability benefits, an attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A. can help you to cut through the red tape and fight for your benefits, no matter where you live in the U.S! Contact a South Florida disability attorney today - 1-888-234-5758.
