Women who Eat Fish Containing Omega 3 Fatty Acids May Reduce Risks of Heart Disease

In a report from the American Heart Association (AHA), younger women may be able to reduce the risk of heart disease by eating fish that contains omega 3 fatty acids. Heart conditions could lead to extensive time off from work. You may qualify for long-term disability benefits during your treatment and recovery.

Younger women, who are in their childbearing years, were found to have a 50% increased risk of heart disease or other cardiovascular problems when they rarely or never consume fish. In addition, their risk was 90%, when compared to younger women who consume fish weekly that are high in omega-3.

Additionally, the reduction of heart disease applied to women in their late 30’s, and even if fish was only consumed a couple of times a month, there were still heart benefits.

This study focused solely on the consumption of fresh fish, not supplements. The most common type includes salmon, mackerel, cod, and herring.

If you have been denied long-term disability benefits or you have questions concerning eligibility, you may need to search for legal guidance. A Palm Beach County LTD attorney will take the time to assess your case and determine if you may qualify for disability benefits. They can also assist you with the claims process, including an appeal.

Long-term disability benefits may be available to those who have purchased a disability plan from a private insurer or have coverage through an employer. Unfortunately, the insurers don’t make it easy for the disabled to get access to the benefits they deserve.

When a severe medical condition makes it impossible for you to work and you’ve been denied your long-term disability benefits, an attorney from LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A. can help you cut through the red tape and fight for your benefits, no matter where you live in the U.S! Contact a Palm Beach County LTD attorney today – 1-888-234-5758.
