I am a disabled veteran but I received a dishonorable discharge from the military. I don't believe I was deserving of my discharge status - what should I do?

A: You may request a review of discharge by writing to the appropriate military department's review board.  

The application you will need to complete and submit to the review board is DD Form 293. This form is available at all VA offices, veterans' organizations, or online at  http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/infomgt/forms/formsprogram.htm.

Important: You will not be eligible to receive VA disability compensation until your record shows that you were discharged for reasons other than dishonorable.
