If I have a hearing in front of an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ), what should I expect?

A: A hearing in front of an ALJ gives you the opportunity to talk to the ALJ in person. The tricky part is that there may be a medical expert or vocational expert at your hearing. If you do not know how to cross-examine a witness you will be at a severe disadvantage during your hearing. In addition, it is your responsibility to make sure your file is complete and that all of your medical records are part of the file. The attorneys at LaVan & Neidenberg requests all of your medical records, submits the records to the ALJ, presents your case to the ALJ, and cross-examines any witnesses that the ALJ requests to testify at your hearing.
