My Social Security Disability claim received a fully favorable decision. However, because my condition is expected to improve, I was told that my case would be reevaluated in a year's time.Should I be concerned?

A:

Every fully favorable Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (DIB) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) case will be reevaluated in the following fashion:

If medical improvement is expected:
A review will or may be conducted in a year's time

If medical improvement is possible:
A review will or may be conducted in three years time

If medical improvement is not expected:
A review will or may be conducted in seven years time

If your medical condition no longer meets Social Security's definition of disability, your benefits may be cut off. If you are in danger of losing your benefits, contact LaVan & Neidenberg® immediately at 1-888-234-5758 - we can help.
