What is the difference between Veterans Disability Compensation and Veterans Disability Pension?

A: There are distinct differences between the two benefits. Veteran’s Disability Compensation is a benefit awarded to an individual who has suffered or developed a service-connected injury or disease. Veteran’s Disability Pension is a benefit paid to an individual who is suffering from a non-service-connected disability or is of advanced age. There are other eligibility criteria for receiving disability pension - it is best to contact the VA to discuss your situation in detail.
