Defining Social Security Disability Insurance (Part B)

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have uninterrupted employment. Who Decides If I Am Eligible?

The approval and payment of SSDI benefits is handled by the Social Security Administration. Local federal field offices process applications and verify their information. Afterwards, a state disability determination service (DDS) will make a ruling on your disability case.
