The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial is a non-profit group that is working to raise money for a memorial that will, "express America's lasting gratitude to the men and women whose lives were forever changes in service to our country."
The organization hopes to begin construction on the memorial in 2010. The memorial is meant to pay tribute to American veterans who may be "broken in body- but never in spirit." The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial will be the first of its kind in the nation and will be located on two acres within full view of the United States Capitol.
