Enable America's motto says it all: Good things happen when people have jobs. Though the statement seems an obvious truth the reality is that many veterans are unable to find jobs, sinking further into financial and emotional turmoil.
Enable America strives to help the disabled, veterans and civilians alike, find a job that not only pays the bills but restores their self worth as well. They work every day to increase employment among people with disabilities in the United States. To accomplish this task they take a "two-pronged approach" that reaches out to both the disabled community and the business community.
To learn more about how they could help disabled Americans find jobs Enable America traveled across the nation to hear the concerns of the disabled community, business leaders, educators, social service programs, civic organizations and political leaders. From Tampa to Atlanta and New York to Chicago Enable America listened to citizen's voice their concern over their future as disabled people seeking employment.
This tour helped Enable America fine tune their mission statement and begin helping the disabled across the United States.
At LaVan & Neidenberg we are especially thankful for all the work they do to help disabled veterans find gainful employment. November has been designated Disabled Veteran Employment Mentoring Month. Each year month long events will help pair disabled veterans with mentors who currently work in a field that interests the veteran.
