Stages of Grief

Denial can be as simple as saying, "this can't be happening to me," or as much as flat out refusing to believe that it has happened.

Anger is getting mad at the victim, at the perpetrator, at yourself, or rather blaming someone for this act happening.

Bargaining is when you try to make a deal, such as trying to plead with God that if you do X, then He will bring your loved one back to you.

Depression is when you realize your deep sadness about the death of your loved one.

Finally, acceptance is realizing the event happened and coming to terms with it.
