Operation Warfighter

Operation Warfighter is a program that serves the Active Duty, National Guard and Reservist communities. The program is open to wounded veterans as they recuperate from their injuries. Eligible members will work as an intern in various positions. Operation Warfighter is an excellent way for veterans to build a resume, develop job skills and gain valuable federal government work experience.

The veterans' internship will work around any medical treatments and therapies. The average length of an internship is three to five months.

Though there is no guarantee of employment after an internship all service members separating from the armed forces should be considered for full-time employment with the Department.
