Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD)

RSD is also referred to as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, is a rare nerve disorder. Although doctors are unsure of the root cause, people diagnosed with RSD feel intense pain, typically in the arms, hands, legs or feet after experiencing an injury to a nerve. The skin surrounding the affected area may be extremely sensitive and may burn, and dramatically change in temperature and color. Unfortunately, there is no known cure.
