The Atlanta hearing office services the following Social Security field offices in Georgia:
The Atlanta Office of Disability Adjudication & Review (ODAR) is a branch of the Social Security Administration. If you request a hearing at the Atlanta ODAR - you are requesting that your claim be reviewed by an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). It can take several months for ODAR to assign your claim to an ALJ, this varies greatly depending on the ODAR in your county.
At this level it is critical to hire an experienced attorney who understands the hearing process. Our office requests all of your medical evidence to support your case. We provide you with special evaluation forms that your doctors can complete to substantiate your disability claim. If the ALJ requests a medical expert and/or vocational expert to testify at the hearing, we cross examine the expert to protect your rights. Finally, we present a historical overview of your claim to the ALJ and explain in legal terminology why you are disabled.
At LaVan & Neidenberg, we represent thousands of claimants, many of whom are just like you. We specialize in disability law and have won over $400 million in benefits for our clients.
