SUDS is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of disabled military members. The program is based out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. The diving program is run by President John W. Thompson & Training Director Larry Hammonds. In only two years the program has helped over a hundred injured soldiers and airmen gain confidence, experience freedom from physical limitations and meet other disabled veterans.
