SBA Office of Veterans Business Development

The Small Business Administration runs the Office of Veterans Business Development. Services provided by the Office of Veterans Business Development include business plan preparations, mentorship and entrepreneurial training and counseling. Find these services and more in the links below.

  • VBOC forms and worksheets
  • Patriot Express Loan overview and details- The SBA's Patriot Express Pilot Loan Initiative gives loans to small business owners who are: veterans, service-disabled veterans, active-duty service members who are eligible for the military's Transition Assistance Program, Reservist and National Guard members, current spouses of any the above and the widowed spouses of a service member.
  • Small Business Administration Loan Programs- These loans are available to current or prospective small business owners and include the microloan program and the disaster assistance loan program.
  • Veterans Business Development Officers- Use this link to find the SBA district officer nearest you.
  • Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)- Offices around the country work to help both current and prospective business owners. The program draws from the strengths of the private sector, the educational community and federal, state and local governments.
  • Veterans Affairs and Other Resources- This link will point you in the direction of other useful government programs. The VA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and the National Veterans Business Development Corporation are among the featured programs.
  • Military Reservist Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (MREIDL)- This loan program is designed to help eligible small businesses who are unable to meet their needs due to an essential employee being called-up to active duty in their role as a military reservist. The loans are used to cover costs until the employee returns from active duty.
