New findings indicate that fish oil may lower the risk for breast cancer. A study conducted through the Cancer Research Center in Seattle showed that women who took fish oil had a 32% less chance of developing breast cancer.
The study also investigated whether other types of supplements, such as soy and black cohosh, had any affect on the risk of breast cancer. It was found that other supplements did not result in any noticeable differences.
The possibility of fish oil helping to reduce the risk of breast cancer must be taken with caution, as further investigation needs to be done.
Fish oil has definite health benefits since it contains omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which can aid in reducing inflammation. Inflammation has been linked to the process of cancer development.
In addition, fish oil has been found to help the heart, reduce arthritis, fight anti-aging and provide a number of other medical benefits.
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer you may be eligible for Social Security disability benefits. Contact a Social Security disability lawyer who can determine eligibility.
