Honoring Our Veterans with Deals & Freebies on Veterans Day 2011

November 7, 2011 - One of the ways that many businesses honor our U.S. veterans during Veterans Day is by offering special deals, discounts, and free items.

In 2011, the following national restaurant chains are offering these promotions: 

  • Applebees - free meal off special menu to veterans and active military, must show proof of military service;
  • Chili's Bar & Grill - free meal off special menu to veterans and active military starting at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., must show proof of military service;
  • Hooters - 10 free wings to veterans and active military, drink purchase and proof of military service required, locations limited;
  • Golden Corral - special "thank you" dinner for veterans on November 14th during certain hours, past events have been from 5-9 p.m. but it's best to check ahead with your local restaurant;
  • McCormick & Schmick's - special veterans dinner on November 13th with free special entrees, proof of military service is required and veterans are encouraged to make reservations;
  • Outback Steakhouse - complimentary blooming onion appetizer and drink to veterans and active military during November 7-11, must show proof of military service; and
  • Texas Roadhouse - free meal with beverage to veterans and active military between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., must show proof of military service.
