Social Security Disability

Securing either Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income benefits is not simple or straightforward. Even if you believe you are clearly disabled because you are suffering from a serious illness or injury, the process is complicated, intimidating, and discouraging.

Getting approved for disability is not as simple as proving that you cannot work your current or past jobs. The challenging aspect of a Social Security claim is that you generally have to prove that you cannot work any job that is available nationwide.  According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), 75% of initial disability claims are denied and over 80% of consequent appeals are also denied.

If your application for Social Security benefits has been denied, DON'T GIVE UP!

At LaVan & Neidenberg, we understand the specific reasons for initial application denials and can help you to avoid the common mistakes and pitfalls of the disability claims process. Your financial security is vitally important - put yours in the hands of specialized legal experts who have a track record of success.

A Successful Claimant Starts Here:

  • Am I eligible for Social Security Disability?
  • How severe does my condition need to be to qualify?
  • How do I apply for disability benefits?
  • My claim was denied. What should I do?
  • How does Social Security make a decision on my claim?
  • When will I hear back from Social Security?
